Creek Freshwater
Huntington Creek offers high-quality trout fishing in a scenic canyon setting. Flowing from Electric Lake, the creek supports wild brown and tiger trout in both fly-only and general regulation sections.

The upper stretch is managed as a blue-ribbon fishery with artificial-only rules. Browns and tigers reach 10–16 inches and fall for dry flies like elk hair caddis and PMDs or subsurface nymphs and streamers. Anglers enjoy technical fishing and excellent clarity.

Downstream, gear restrictions ease. Trout grow larger and respond well to spinners, jigs, and bait like worms. Pools, riffles, and overhanging banks offer traditional structure.

Fishing is best June through October. Spring runoff impacts clarity, but late summer and fall deliver consistent action.

Access is simple via SR-31. Campgrounds and roadside parking make this a convenient destination.

Huntington Creek combines beautiful terrain with productive fishing and a range of access options, making it a top choice for central Utah anglers.
