East Walker River (NV)

The East Walker River, as it traverses Lyon County, Nevada, presents a hydrographically and ecologically diverse fishery. Its upper segments, influenced by upstream tailwater releases and contiguous with the Walker River State Recreation Area, sustain robust populations of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and Brown Trout (Salmo trutta), often reaching trophy dimensions due to cold, consistent flows and abundant forage.
