Lower Enterprise Reservoir, located west of Enterprise, UT, is a productive 85-acre lake known for its regular trout stocking, excellent shore access, and scenic high-desert setting. Managed by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, the reservoir is regularly stocked with rainbow trout and occasionally supports brown trout and smallmouth bass.
Rainbow trout are the primary target, with most fish averaging 10–14 inches. They respond well to bait, spinners, and fly patterns like woolly buggers and nymphs. The bass bite picks up in summer around rocky shoreline areas.
Boating is permitted, with a paved ramp and easy access for kayaks and small boats. There’s also a developed U.S. Forest Service campground nearby, making it ideal for family trips.
The reservoir is governed by general Utah fishing regulations, including a four-trout daily limit. Water levels are typically stable, though they may drop during peak irrigation months. Winter access is limited, and ice fishing is rare.
Lower Enterprise offers a reliable and scenic destination for southern Utah anglers, particularly in spring and fall.
