Enterprise Reservoir- Upper

Enterprise · Utah

Lake Freshwater
Upper Enterprise Reservoir is a smaller, more secluded fishery located just above the lower reservoir near Enterprise, UT. With 35 surface acres and regular rainbow trout stocking by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, it offers excellent fishing in a peaceful high-desert setting.

Rainbows are the primary catch and typically average 10–13 inches. Fly anglers find success with leeches, chironomids, and terrestrials, especially in spring and late summer. Spin anglers often use small spinners and bait like worms or PowerBait near the dam or along the shoreline.

While boating is allowed, there’s no developed ramp. Most visitors use float tubes or hand-launch kayaks. The water remains clear and cool throughout the warm season, sustaining good trout activity well into fall.

Camping is primitive, but vault toilets are available. The upper reservoir receives far less pressure than the lower lake, offering a quieter, more natural setting ideal for relaxed outings or fly fishing.

Anglers are subject to general Utah regulations, including a four-trout daily limit. Upper Enterprise is a hidden gem for anglers seeking solitude and reliable trout fishing in southern Utah.
