Parowan · Utah

Lake Freshwater
Paragonah Reservoir, or Red Creek Reservoir, is a 60-acre lake near Parowan known for its stocked rainbow trout and occasional tiger and brook trout. It sits in a peaceful high-mountain setting, offering quiet, low-pressure angling.

Rainbows averaging 10–14 inches are caught on bait, spinners, and small trolling lures. Tiger and brook trout lurk near structure and inflows, where jigs and streamers are effective. Fly anglers succeed with dry-dropper setups during insect hatches.

Fishing is from shore or float tube—gas motors aren’t allowed and there’s no boat ramp. Float tubes and inflatable crafts are ideal for reaching deeper water.

There are no facilities, but dispersed camping is possible nearby. Wind and weather can change quickly at this elevation, so anglers should be prepared.
