Bountiful Pond

Woods Cross · Utah

Lake Freshwater
Bountiful Pond is a 6-acre urban trout pond in Woods Cross Park. Stocked with rainbow trout in spring and fall, it’s ideal for family fishing close to the Salt Lake Valley.

Fishing peaks after stocking windows—March–April and September–October—using bait like PowerBait, worms, or floats, or small spinners and plugs. Trout average 10–14 inches. Battery-powered boats and float-tubes are permitted; gas motors are not.

Bluegill and sunfish also inhabit the pond, but rainbows are the main draw. The pond features benches, paved paths, lighting, and good parking—perfect for quick evening or weekend outings. Winter ice-setting makes for casual ice fishing when safe.

Pressure is heaviest after stocking, so fish early. Regulations follow standard trout rules. For convenient, stress-free trout fishing in the valley, Bountiful Pond is a reliable choice.
