Mantua Reservoir

Mantua · Utah

Lake Freshwater
Mantua Reservoir is a productive 500-acre mountain lake located near Brigham City. Known for its clear water and diverse fishery, it offers year-round angling for rainbow trout, bluegill, largemouth bass, and yellow perch.

Trout fishing is best in spring and fall. Anglers troll spoons and wedding rings or fish PowerBait and worms near the dam and public access areas. Bluegill are the summertime favorite, especially for families. They’re easily caught with worms or jigs near shallow weed beds.

Largemouth bass are targeted along the weedy shorelines using plastics, spinnerbaits, or topwater lures. Bass over 3 pounds are not uncommon. Yellow perch provide additional action, particularly during winter ice fishing season.

Boat access is excellent, though only wakeless speeds are allowed. Float tubes and kayaks are popular here, and the reservoir’s compact size makes it ideal for smaller craft.

Whether fishing from shore, kayak, or ice, Mantua delivers steady action in a peaceful mountain setting. It's an accessible, well-stocked lake perfect for anglers of all levels.
