Pineview Reservoir

Pineview Reservoir in Huntsville is a renowned warmwater fishery offering exceptional tiger muskie fishing along with bass, crappie, perch, and stocked trout. This 2,800-acre reservoir provides diverse fishing in a scenic mountain valley setting.

Tiger muskie are the top draw, growing over 40 inches and requiring large swimbaits or jerkbaits to entice. These apex predators are most active in spring and early summer, particularly in shallow areas and around submerged timber.

Smallmouth and largemouth bass provide excellent action in warmer months, especially near rocky points and vegetated shorelines. Crappie and yellow perch are readily caught on small jigs and bait near structure or the reservoir’s Narrows. Trout are stocked and available during colder seasons.
